Staff Accountant
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Support corporate tax activities, including the preparation of tax-related schedules and documentation.
- Aid in sales tax filings and help monitor compliance with applicable regulations.
- Contribute to the preparation of corporate tax returns by organizing financial data and supporting schedules.
- Review accounting transactions for completeness, accuracy, and proper classification within the ledger.
- Partner with finance and operational teams to gather information needed for month-end and tax reporting.
- Help maintain organized accounting documentation to support audits and internal reviews.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or a related finance role.
- Hands-on experience with journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.
- Knowledge of corporate tax processes, including corporate tax return support.
- Experience preparing or assisting with sales tax filings and compliance activities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
- Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheet-based analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 annually.
