Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support a portfolio of client accounts in Richardson, Texas. This position blends hands-on accounting work with direct client communication, making it ideal for someone who can manage financial details while building strong client relationships. The role offers the opportunity to handle core bookkeeping functions, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reliable financial operations across multiple businesses.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for several client accounts, ensuring records are complete, organized, and up to date.
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger activity, and maintain accurate financial data across multiple entities.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, and timely payment coordination.
• Administer accounts receivable tasks such as billing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bookkeeping functions in QuickBooks and support the preparation of routine financial reports for clients.
• Process payroll and help ensure employee compensation is handled accurately and on schedule.
• Communicate directly with clients to address accounting questions, gather needed documentation, and provide clear financial updates.
• Assist with month-end close activities and support consistent accounting practices across assigned engagements.

Requirements

• Experience in staff accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting services within a client-facing environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong working knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Hands-on experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities.
• Ability to support financial activity for multiple clients or entities while maintaining accuracy and organization.
• Understanding of core accounting principles and day-to-day transactional accounting processes.
• Experience assisting with payroll processing and related recordkeeping.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
