About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Multi-Entity Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting firm based in Carlsbad, California. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive bookkeeping for multiple client entities, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Record and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks Online, including bank and credit card statements.
• Process vendor invoices, manage approvals, and reconcile statements for accounts payable.
• Generate and send client invoices, monitor collections, and reconcile accounts receivable aging reports.
• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate reconciliations.
• Prepare and close monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline reconciliation processes and draft detailed financial summaries.
• Analyze large Excel datasets using advanced formulas and pivot tables to identify discrepancies.
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and communication is proactive.
• Develop and maintain financial models and templates to enhance reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Minimum of two years' experience with QuickBooks Online in an environment that requires attention to detail.
• Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and monthly financial close procedures.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet strict deadlines.
• Accounting Degree.
• Comfort with using AI tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
