Responsibilities
- Prepare and support corporate tax filings, ensuring records are organized and submissions are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Record financial activity through journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger across accounting periods.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, and timely payment coordination.
- Oversee accounts receivable activity by tracking incoming payments, applying cash, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to keep cash records current and reliable.
- Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accounting data, generate reports, and support routine financial operations.
- Auxiliary with month-end and year-end close tasks to help produce complete and accurate financial information.
Requirements
- Experience handling corporate tax work within an accounting or public accounting setting.
- Working knowledge of preparing or supporting corporate tax returns.
- Proficiency with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliations and resolving account variances.
- Experience using QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting tasks and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
