Staff Accountant – Temp-to-HireLocation: South OKC/Moore Area – 100% OnsiteType: Temp-to-HireSalary: $68,000–$78,000 DOESchedule: Full-Time, Monday–FridayIndustry: Manufacturing Position OverviewA well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function for two companies. This is a highly hands-on, one-person accounting role where you will manage the full accounting cycle and serve as the primary point of contact for accounting and payroll responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an independent, self-motivated accounting professional who is comfortable working autonomously, managing competing priorities, and taking ownership of the accounting function from start to finish. Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting for two companiesManage high-volume Accounts Receivable, including more than $2M in monthly activityHandle full-cycle Accounts Payable and vendor managementProcess biweekly payroll for 50+ employeesPerform month-end close activitiesPrepare and post General Ledger journal entriesPerform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial recordsMonitor and manage sales tax requirementsMaintain required business licenses and registrationsAssist with internal and external auditsMonitor cash activity and support overall financial operationsMaintain organized accounting documentation and recordsHelp transition accounting processes from a heavily paper-based environment to more efficient online/digital processesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, reporting, and workflow Qualifications3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferredStrong full-cycle accounting experienceExperience with AR, AP, GL, payroll, and month-end closeComfortable working independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage a high volume of transactions and deadlinesManufacturing experience strongly preferredQuickBooks Online (QBO) experience requiredJobBOSS experience is a plusRipling payroll experience preferredStrong Excel skillsComfortable helping modernize and digitize accounting processesWhat We're Looking ForThis is not a traditional role where responsibilities are divided among a large accounting team.
