Staff Accountant
About the role
Robert Half is partnering with an established and growing organization in Las Vegas to identify a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-permanent opportunity located in Summerlin. This position offers the chance to join a collaborative accounting team while gaining exposure to fixed asset accounting, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close activities. The Staff Accountant should have prior experience with Fixed Assets, completing reconciliations and preparing journal entries. Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Complete account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, transfers, and retirements
- Support general ledger accounting activities
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and supporting documentation
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred
- ERP system experience required; Oracle experience is a plus
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced / demanding environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
