Staff Accountant

About the role

We’re looking for a detail-driven, motivated Staff Accountant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and be part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented construction team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and job cost records
• Aid with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare account reconciliations and variance analysis
• Support financial reporting related to project costs and profitability
• Review job cost accuracy and partner with project managers on corrections
• Support job cost forecasting and cost-to-complete analysis
• Aid with AIA billing, progress billing, and retainage tracking
• Monitor contract values, change orders, and budget updates
• Aid with compliance with prevailing wage and contract requirements
• Provide financial data to support project and leadership decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience (construction industry a plus)
• Understanding of job costing and project-based accounting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in accounting software + Excel
