About the Opportunity
The Staff Accountant will oversee daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely processing of transactions. This role is essential for maintaining financial integrity and supporting the organization's fiscal responsibilities through independent and precise management of accounts payable, invoicing, and general ledger activities.
Responsibilities
- Support full accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Accurately process and record financial transactions promptly.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Issue invoices and contracts to customers and follow up on late payments.
- Maintain accurate and properly coded general ledger entries.
- Implement and uphold internal financial controls and procedures.
- Handle confidential financial information discreetly.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Staff Accountant or similar role.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Stripe.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Experience in creating dashboards and board presentations.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- PREFERRED: QuickBooks Online and Bill.com certifications.
- PREFERRED: Experience with HubSpot CRM.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Base salary of $60,000 with a $10,000 bonus. Actual salary depends on experience, skills, abilities, and location. Compensation details subject to company discretion.
