Staff Accountant

About the Opportunity:The Staff Accountant role is designed for an early-career accounting professional seeking ownership and broad exposure within finance. This position supports financial operations by handling accounting reconciliations, managing rebate programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. 3. Responsibilities:• Manage reconciliations and monthly activities for assigned accounts including prepaids, commissions, and rebate reserves.• Prepare recurring journal entries and month-end accruals.• Administer distributor rebate programs and review customer deductions for contract compliance.• Act as a key contact for intercompany transactions.• Collaborate with non-finance stakeholders on accounting treatments for sales deductions and expenses.• Support year-end audit activities by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.• Compile information for state and local sales tax filings.• Maintain internal controls by adhering to company policies and procedures. 4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environments.• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, accruals, and financial controls.• Experience with ERP and financial systems; familiarity with OneStream and Infor is advantageous.• Additional experience with various ERP platforms and exposure to rebates, sales deductions, intercompany transactions, or sales tax support is beneficial.• Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• The base salary ranges from $50,000 to $75,000, with actual compensation dependent on location, experience, and performance.• Eligibility for an annual incentive plan based on business and financial targets. 6.
