Responsibilities

  • Fixed assets and sales commissions
  • Physical inventory management
  • Manage operational data and ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Develop operational procedures and document data flow
  • Establish system controls to ensure data integrity
  • Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements
  • Support month-end closing and financial reporting, including account analysis and reconciliation
  • Assist in special projects as needed
  • Provide accurate and timely information for financial statement production
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  • Conduct performance analysis of operations to drive growth, strategy, and profitability initiatives
  • Develop financial plans and forecasts; analyze variances against plans
  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports
  • Review general ledger detail and create journal entries in a timely manner
  • Ensure inventory matches asset accounting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (CPA certification is a plus)
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on managerial accounting experience
  • Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll knowledge
  • Experience assessing, analyzing, and improving business performance
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SAP and ADP experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents (e.g., sales reports, safety rules, operating instructions, training manuals)
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Strong problem-solving skills for situations with limited information or standardization
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and calculations (rates, ratios, percentages, discounts, costs, proportions, volumes)
  • Computer data entry application knowledge and skill
  • Understanding of quality standards (ISO and QSE)
  • Knowledge of office equipment and its efficient operation
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including wage and hour laws, environmental and waste minimization, company policies, and personnel requirements (OSHA, DEQ, EEO)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
