Staff Accountant

About the role

Parking Lot Maintenance is seeking an ambitious staff accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position offers growth opportunities and a chance to develop professionally within a fast-paced construction firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reconciliation of daily management operational reporting with the accounting ERP reporting.
• Review job cost accounting and ensure accurate job profitability.
• Identify potential operational improvements based on analyzing job profitability.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions.
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Aid in the preparation of monthly financial reporting, including balance sheet and income statements.
• Lead the shop and operations inventory process to ensure accurate inventory, including developing and leading a monthly cycle count process and year-end count process and preparing journal entries to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including multiple Operational department leads to gather financial data and support decision-making processes.
• Aid in Payroll AR & AP duties.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly in Excel.
• Experience in Oracle NetSuite preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in a similar role.
