Opportunity
Naveris is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to contribute to a mission-driven organization where your efforts can make a significant impact on cancer prevention and care.
Job Requirements
- Participate in month-end close, creating and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, analyzing accounting transactions, and meeting all required reporting deadlines.
- Areas of focus: bank, accounts payable and accruals, fixed assets, payroll cycles, and assisting with business performance through review of actual results against company's budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and maintain robust processes ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements.
- Reconciling and analyzing supplies and reagents inventory.
- Preparing ad-hoc reporting as requested.
- Implementing process improvements and leading practices that will scale with the rapid pace of growth of the Company.
- Aid in the documentation of new policies and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department and the company.
- Aid in the annual audits to ensure all requests and questions are responded to in a timely manner.
- Cook up and resolve issues of accounting matters within the area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and the application of generally accepted accounting principles.
- As needed, contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned to support management with the decision-making process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- CPA with Big 4 public accounting experience a plus.
- Relevant experience preferred.
- ERP systems experience (Quickbooks, NetSuite) a plus.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and SEC reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively work across teams and levels.
- Develops and maintains excellent working relationships that establish trust and credibility.
- Self-motivated individual with demonstrated experience and continuous desire in improving and streamlining processes and workflows that enable sustainable scaling of the business.
- Must be adaptable, agile, able to multi-task and take on additional responsibilities as necessary.
- Possesses energy, enthusiasm to drive results, action oriented.
- Ability to prioritize. Exhibits a sense of urgency towards attaining department goals, issue resolution and meeting deadlines.
- Exposure to system implementation projects is a plus.
- Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and does not compromise ethical standards.
Benefits
At Naveris, we offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and more.
