Staff Accountant

Job Description

Reporting to Corporate Accounting Manager, this position is a tremendous opportunity to learn and use skills within the SAP enterprise system for a worldwide, growing private company that provides job diversity and an upward career path.

Principle Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries for month-end accruals and reclassifications to ensure the financial statements' completeness and accuracy.
• Reconciles general ledger account balances and compiles various GL account analysis reports.
• Aids in the maintenance of Fixed Asset records.
• Aids in the preparation of monthly financial reporting.
• Aids with the audit process.
• Aids with the budget process

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Change agent, able to analyze unstructured problems and guide decision makers. Competent communicator able to foster open discussion of ideas, share thoughts clearly in writing, provide and receive feedback, and encourage growth in self and others.
• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance rolePossess excellent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows with an emphasis on Excel. Analytical, self-motivated, able to work alone or within a team in a fast-paced environment.
