Staff Accountant

Job Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices by matching purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices, ensuring proper approvals and accurate coding prior to entry in SAP.
• Enter, review, and post Accounts Payable transactions in SAP while maintaining batch control procedures and ensuring accuracy in the General Ledger.
• Review and reconcile purchase order accruals, unmatched invoices, outstanding payables, expense reports, and month-end accruals to support accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, issue, and distribute vendor payments, ensuring required approvals, signatures, and timely processing of checks.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and other accounts payable concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancement opportunities and assisting with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree, major in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field and 2 – 4 years AP/AR/GL experience.
• Work Experience / Technical Training: Experience in Excel is required. Experience in SAP is strongly preferred.

Pay

Pay range: $50,000 - $60,000 annual salary
