Position Summary The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and possesses a strong accounting foundation. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.Support job cost tracking and project-related accounting activities.Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.Review and analyze account balances to identify discrepancies.Help maintain accurate fixed asset and depreciation schedules.Support internal and external audit requests.Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.2+ years of accounting experience.Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the construction industry.Familiarity with job costing and project accounting.Experience with ERP or construction accounting software.
