Staff Accountant

LAUNCH is a leading aviation staffing company that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team in their Oak Brook office. The Staff Accountant is responsible for working with the accounting team in creating accurate and timely financial statements while upholding the company’s standards and culture. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller, and will be highly visible to the Controller, CFO and other members of the senior leadership team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Preparing and documenting journal entries for routine business transactionsReviewing and reconciling the general ledgerAssisting in month-end and year-end closing proceduresManage accounts receivable process, including invoice generation, cash application, and account maintenanceReconcile third party payments through Intuit QuickBooks Payments and Ebiz ChargeSupport cash flow objectives by reviewing accounts receivable aging with business units to collect outstanding paymentsProviding support to outside accountants during annual financial auditPreparing financial statements and footnotes for annual audited financial statementsTracking and reconciling major expensesAssisting the Controller and CFO with other ad-hoc projects as neededAssist in the due diligence and accounting integration of acquired companiesOther duties as assigned.
