Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Staff Accountant to join our thriving Marketing team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to leverage their accounting skills in a fast-paced and innovative marketing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, Sage Intacct management, ledger analysis, accounts payable, and media spending. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Staff Accountant in our team, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, and treasury.
  • Streamlining and implementing accounting systems and operations for maximum efficiency.
  • Managing the preparation and review of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Overseeing and maintaining the general ledger system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Managing the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Working closely with the marketing team to monitor and manage media spending.
  • Utilizing Sage Intacct software for various accounting tasks.
  • Preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with the executive team.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and regulations.
  • Participating in the development and support of internal controls, company policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the marketing industry.
  • Proven experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and ledger analysis.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct accounting software.
  • Experience in managing media spending is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
