Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant position at Ash Brokerage, part of the Integrity family, plays a crucial role in supporting the finance team's daily and monthly financial processes. This role requires a combination of technical accounting skills and strong interpersonal abilities to assist in maintaining accurate records and providing timely support.

Responsibilities

• Manage key aspects of the receivables process, including preparing and issuing invoices, monitoring incoming payments, supporting collection efforts, and completing allowance calculations.
• Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established deadlines.
• Maintain accounting operations and provide support for miscellaneous projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
• Serve as a backup resource for critical accounting processes to ensure continuity and operational support.
• Act as a change champion by identifying opportunities for process improvement and assisting with the implementation of enhanced workflows.
• Provide support for financial analysis, company-wide initiatives, the annual budgeting process, and forecasting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, or three to five years of directly related professional experience.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, U.S. GAAP, and Microsoft Excel.
