Staff Accountant

Position Overview

This role involves providing accounting support during employee leaves of absence, initially focusing on project accounting and transitioning into fixed asset accounting as needed, within a dynamic and fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.
• Participate in project accounting functions, including IT invoice reconciliation, project setup, and funding administration.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting activities such as asset disposals, CIP settlements, and depreciation reporting.
• Collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with company policies and maintain detailed audit documentation.
• Transition between various accounting responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other large ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions.
