Responsibilities
- Review labor, statistical, and financial data to support budgeting and forecasting; provide insights to the Controller
- Analyze production costs across value streams to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Supervise fixed asset tracking and capital project management through capitalization
- Review and analyze spend accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Prepare, review, and finalize financial results on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Support development of annual budgets and related schedules as directed by the Controller
- Perform variance analysis to identify drivers and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain, review, and reconcile data within Oracle systems
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards
- Lead general ledger account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial controls and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements
- Participate in internal testing and audit activities to support compliance and risk management
- Support external audits by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancing standard work and improving transactional processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a global manufacturing environment
- Cost accounting experience preferred, with strong knowledge across general accounting functions
- Familiarity with intercompany accounting and international accounting practices is a plus
- Experience with financial systems and general ledger platforms (e.g., Oracle)
- Working knowledge of SOX controls and audit processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver meaningful insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
