About the role
The Staff Accountant will support the Accounting team in routine activities including maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliations, preparing journal entries and financial statements, assisting with annual budgeting and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Fixed Asset and CIP reconciliations and record associated journal entries
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements for multiple entities
- Maintain prepaid schedules and create journal entries
- Reconcile intercompany accounts
- Create and prepare journal entries relating to accounts payables, accruals, and inventory
- Prepare closing journal entries
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Prepare information and respond to internal/external inquiries
- Aid in the preparation of annual budgeting and analysis
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 1-2 years of experience
- Strong understanding and foundation of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
- Prior experience with Athenahealth practice management software is a plus
Qualifications
- Strong understanding and foundation of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Benefits
Competitive compensation range of $60,000–$80,000, plus comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Pay
$60,000 – $65,000 annual salary (based on relevant skills and experience)
Schedule
This role is based in Tampa, FL and requires regular on-site presence.
