Staff Accountant Position Summary
Exacta is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position is responsible for supporting the Company's day-to-day accounting operations, with primary responsibility for the accounts payable cycle and related accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional or recent graduate looking to develop technical accounting skills and grow into broader general ledger and financial reporting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and committed to accuracy and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position. Team member will report to the office at 1500 W 3rd St, MZ130, Cleveland, OH 44113 a minimum of 3 days a week as scheduled by the supervisor.

Staff Accountant Essential Responsibilities
Administer the complete accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment preparation, vendor maintenance, and annual 1099 reporting.
Prepare ACH, wire, and check payments in accordance with Company approval policies.
Administer the Company's expense reporting system, including employee expense reviews, corporate credit card reconciliations, and related journal entries.
Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense records within Sage Intacct.
Aid with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Support daily cash reporting, audits, and other accounting and financial reporting activities.
Aid with special projects and provide administrative support to the Accounting department as needed.
Staff Accountant Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Associate degree with relevant accounting or accounts payable experience will also be considered.
- 0–3 years of accounting or full-cycle accounts payable experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
