Staff Accountant

Position Summary

This Staff Accountant position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and working collaboratively across departments to ensure the financial integrity of our assets.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains general ledger activity for assigned entities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Presents and analyzes monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Reconciles bank statements and investigates discrepancies
• Aids with budgeting and forecasting
• Aids with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as assigned
• Aids with external audits, tax preparation, and other regulatory filings as needed
• Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Specific Education or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or degree in business with relatable experience)
• CPA certification not required

• Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
