Staff Accountant
About the role
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our client's team. The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $32.00 – $33.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries for the monthly close process
- Process accounts payable transactions, including contractor, consultant, and vendor invoices
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis
- Support Development and Construction teams with project forecasting/budgeting, loan draw packages, and lien releases
- Aid in process, procedure, and control improvements within the department
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (BS/BA preferred)
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or development
- Accounts payable experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Yardi software experience; familiarity with loan draw packages, lien releases, and conditional/unconditional waivers preferred
