About the role
CV Resources is partnering with a well-established leader in the commercial construction industry. They are seeking a Staff Accountant II to join their growing finance team.
Responsibilities
- Process a wide range of financial transactions accurately and on time, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Investigate and resolve basic discrepancies and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Ensure strict compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards across all accounting functions.
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial processes.
- Cross-train across other areas of the accounting department to support team flexibility and efficiency.
Requirements
- Solid foundation in general accounting principles.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems is a plus.
- Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within construction or a related industry.
