About the role
The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial health of BN, a leading provider of social media advertising solutions. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with US GAAP, and supporting the broader finance team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day tasks related to GL coding, reconciliation, standard and non-standard journal entries.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations for complex balance sheet accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Work with team members to ensure that all revenue and vendor invoices are correctly entered.
- Prepare monthly reports for review by leadership, reconcile within our banking system, and post in Finance and Operations D365.
- Serve as backup and coverage for AR/AP team members, including invoicing, payments, vendor requests, and funding requests.
- Aid in the preparation and coordination of annual financial and other audits.
- Aid in weekly and monthly financial reporting.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process, as needed.
- Maintain proper accounting methods, policies, and processes.
- Support finance team members with special projects and process improvements.
- Provide additional assistance in the department as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- 3-6 years of professional work experience in finance or accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel is a must.
- Experience in Finance and Operations D365, Expensify, Power BI, Power Query is considered a plus.
- Strong internal and external communication skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to complete multiple tasks at once.
- Team player who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Pay
$65,000-$83,000 base salary. Base salary is determined by several factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. These factors are considered when making an offer of employment.
