Staff Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customer invoices, ensuring billing accuracy and timely revenue recognition
- Monitor data flow and reconcile information between accounting, resource management, and billing platforms to maintain financial accuracy
- Support accounts receivable functions, including collections activities, payment application, account reconciliations, and resolution of billing discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting support
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project, resource, and billing information is properly captured and reflected in financial records
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives designed to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls
Requirements
- Well-rounded accounting foundation with experience in billing, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
- 2+ years of relevant experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems
