This position applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for all Casino operations. Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding the mission statement.
- Lead by example and carry out the Five Star Experience by fulfilling the Mission Statement, Service Promise, and following department service standards, including consistency in service expectations: Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized, and Valued.
- Continually coach and support Team Members to ensure they have the skills, tools, and resources to successfully complete their jobs, including delivering the Five Star Experience expectations.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries for general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and maintain worksheets for all cash on hand and bank account reconciliations.
- Prepare account reconciliations to align sub-ledger detail with general ledger balance for balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare data for filing federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
- Prepare weekly reports for the Business Development Committee.
- Oversee intercompany billing and shared costs internally.
- Participate in random inventory audits for various Casino venues.
- Prepare documentation for external audits and all regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to guests and vendors and assist them as required.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred, but not required.
- Minimum two years of accounting work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced Excel worksheet skills and high proficiency in computer skills.
- Must pass periodic random drug screens.
- Must pass a background suitability investigation.
- Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License and all other applicable certifications and licenses.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

- Multiple locations, some open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; must be flexible to work any and all hours.
- Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

- Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises, recording activity 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
