Staff Accountant

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 Location: Haines City, FL | Onsite Must be based in or within commuting distance of the Haines City area. Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, account analysis, and related reportingPrepare and maintain sales journal entries and ensure transactions are accurately recordedPerform balance sheet reconciliations and research outstanding or unusual itemsPrepare recurring accounting and financial reports for leadershipReview and process invoices while ensuring proper coding and supporting documentationPartner with operational and land teams regarding purchase orders, coding, and accounting-related questionsReview and support employee expense reporting and related reconciliationsAssist with company credit card activity, including monitoring transactions and ensuring appropriate documentationMaintain accurate general ledger activity and investigate accounting discrepanciesSupport additional accounting projects and reporting needs as assigned Qualifications For The Staff Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required3–5 years of progressive accounting experienceHomebuilding, construction, or a closely related industry accounting background strongly preferredStrong month-end close and general ledger accounting experienceExperience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationsFamiliarity with sales accounting, expense reporting, invoice processing, and account analysisStrong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working within accounting/ERP systemsMust be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements Work Environment & Growth 100% onsite in Southeast OrlandoStandard Monday–Friday business hoursDiscretionary bonus opportunityEstablished Accounting & Finance team with experienced leadershipLong-term professional development and advancement opportunitiesStable organization within the homebuilding/construction industry This Staff Accountant opportunity is best suited for an accountant with a strong general ledger foundation who wants to build their career within homebuilding or construction accounting.
