Stability Support Specialist (Social Service Assistant/Multiple Positions) | Limited Duration until 06/30/2027

About the role

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking Stability Support Specialists to assist in supporting children, families, and communities. These positions are limited duration until June 30, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Transport Youth: Provide transportation for youth to school, appointments, and social activities.
• Supervise Youth: Supervise youth in the office, community, or in home.
• Cookordinate Activities: Coordinate activities that support youth engagement.
• Gather Information: Collect and document information from case providers, clients, family members, schools, and other relevant sources.
• Safeguard Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of youth.
• Ensure Daily Activities: Ensure the safety, hygiene, well-being, and care of youth, including school attendance and appointments.
• Provide Behavioral Support: Offer redirection and guidance to youth as needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
• One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting.
• An associate degree in any field.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience with engaging diverse individuals, de-escalating tense situations, and maintaining boundaries.
• Experience with collaborating with co-staff and other team members.
• Experience with clearly communicating with team members and leads.
• Experience with applying equitable practices and trauma-informed care.
• Experience with adjusting and flexing to changing environments and shifting priorities.
• Experience with identifying problems and generating effective solutions.

Pay

$4,124 - $5,714 per month.

Schedule

This position requires coverage of shifts Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to work early or late as needed, and occasional weekend availability.
