About the role

The St. Gianna's Program Supervisor provides services to expectant parents, parents and/or guardians of children seeking material and educational assistance through the St. Gianna No Cost Baby Boutique. This position manages the daily operations of the boutique, assists clients in assessing needs, and connects them to community resources. The Supervisor oversees volunteer staff required to run the boutique.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates services for St. Gianna’s, including taking inquiry calls and emails from prospective clients and donors, answering questions, and coordinating services.
  • Oversees walk-in boutique hours.
  • Manages the intake and redistribution of donations to the St. Gianna’s No Cost Baby Boutique.
  • Coordinates, manages, and supervises St. Gianna’s volunteers to carry out the essential functions of the boutique.
  • Meets with clients to assess resource needs and provides referrals to appropriate community resources.
  • Drives to different community areas to pick up supplies for the boutique.
  • Meets with community partners to establish collaborative relationships and stay informed on community resources.
  • Manages St. Gianna’s inventory, obtains additional inventory through purchase or donations, and oversees stocking of the boutique to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Coordinates and facilitates classes on pregnancy and parenting topics for the local community.
  • Enters client information and statistics into Virtual Case Manager and creates monthly reports for submission to the Program Manager.
  • Markets the program within the community and is available for media interviews when requested.
  • Drives for agency business and performs other special project assignments at supervisor’s request.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior supervisory work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior work experience supervising volunteers and/or working with volunteers is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related prior work experience in human services is preferred.
  • Licensed in the state of Michigan when applicable to degree.
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to engage with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Knowledge of the Agency’s policy regarding abortion counseling.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Respect for confidentiality and cultural awareness.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and other service providers.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and good driving record with zero work restrictions.
  • Personal auto insurance with minimum bodily injury coverage limits of $250,000 per person/$500,000 per incident or $500,000 combined.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must submit to agency-approved background checks.

Work environment

This position is office-based and may require travel to other community locations. Routine exposure to typical office noise levels and various weather conditions may occur.

Pay

$21.91 - $27.05/hour

Schedule

Part-time, 30 hours per week
