About the role

The role involves supporting the rollout and ongoing development of the Scottish Standard Time System (SSTS) across multiple NHS Boards. You will act as a system expert, providing first-line support, guidance, and advice to all SSTS users.

Responsibilities

  • Support the rollout and ongoing development of the Scottish Standard Time System across multiple NHS Boards
  • Act as a system expert providing first-line support, guidance and advice to all SSTS users
  • Analyse, audit and validate workforce data, ensuring accuracy before transfer to payroll systems
  • Manage user access, including account creation, maintenance and adherence to IT security procedures
  • Investigate and resolve complex pay and system queries from managers and staff
  • Run and interpret reports to monitor data quality and support decision making
  • Work collaboratively within the team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of service delivery

Requirements

  • A professional payroll qualification, such as CIPP or equivalent experience
  • Relevant NHS payroll experience with knowledge of payroll systems and processes
  • A strong understanding of Agenda for Change terms and conditions and payroll legislation
  • Experience with time and attendance or workforce systems with the ability to manage complex data
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • A high level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word and reporting tools
  • The ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and/or experience required to do the job

  • A relevant degree or equivalent
  • Relevant NHS payroll experience
