SSTS Officer - Payroll Services
About the role
The role involves supporting the rollout and ongoing development of the Scottish Standard Time System (SSTS) across multiple NHS Boards. You will act as a system expert, providing first-line support, guidance, and advice to all SSTS users.
Responsibilities
- Support the rollout and ongoing development of the Scottish Standard Time System across multiple NHS Boards
- Act as a system expert providing first-line support, guidance and advice to all SSTS users
- Analyse, audit and validate workforce data, ensuring accuracy before transfer to payroll systems
- Manage user access, including account creation, maintenance and adherence to IT security procedures
- Investigate and resolve complex pay and system queries from managers and staff
- Run and interpret reports to monitor data quality and support decision making
- Work collaboratively within the team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of service delivery
Requirements
- A professional payroll qualification, such as CIPP or equivalent experience
- Relevant NHS payroll experience with knowledge of payroll systems and processes
- A strong understanding of Agenda for Change terms and conditions and payroll legislation
- Experience with time and attendance or workforce systems with the ability to manage complex data
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- A high level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word and reporting tools
- The ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications and/or experience required to do the job
- A relevant degree or equivalent
- Relevant NHS payroll experience
