About the role
Kensington Square is a DePaul Community Residence-Single Room Occupancy (CR-SRO) Program seeking a passionate mental health professional to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct support, advocacy and education to residents by assisting with the development of and individualized service plan.
- Ensures comprehensive service planning in a person-centered approach, including recovery-oriented services and discharge planning.
- Conducts quarterly service plan reviews with the resident and support team, making revisions as needed.
- Teaches, monitors, and provides recovery-oriented supports to residents, including Assertiveness / Self Advocacy Training, Community Integration / Resource Development, Daily Living Skills Training, Health Services Education, Medication Management and Training, Parenting Training, Rehabilitative Counseling, Skill Development, Socialization, Substance Abuse Services, and Symptom Management.
- Observes, monitors, documents, and reports resident behaviors and progress.
- Maintains accurate and timely resident files, including progress notes, updated service plans, psychiatric and medical records, and other pertinent information.
- Schedules and arranges transportation for annual medical and dental appointments.
- Collaborates with the Resident’s Health Home Care Manager and other community service providers for continuity of care.
- Serves as a key liaison between the resident and their clinical provider, monitoring mental health and well-being.
- Trains residents in daily living skills, prepares simple meals, assists with laundry, helps plan for necessities, encourages connections with family and communities, and coordinates recreational activities.
- Assists Medication Coordinators with medication supervision and performs dining room responsibilities.
- Provides safe transporting of residents.
- Respects and maintains resident confidentiality.
- Attends staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Gives input for treatment/support team meetings and continued stay reviews as a member of the residential team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field plus at least one (1) year of experience working in a Human Services field.
- Associates degree in a Human Services field plus at least three (3) years of related experience working in a Human Services field.
- High School diploma / GED plus at least five (5) years of experience working in a Human Services field.
- Clean/valid New York State driving record as outlined in DePaul’s personnel policy.
- At least Eighteen (18) years of age.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid New York State driver’s license.
- Must pass a background check.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.75 - $24.35/hour.
Schedule
Sunday, Monday, 3pm-11:30pm, Tuesday 9am-5:30pm, Friday, Saturday, 7-3:30pm.
