About the role
The Worldwide Specialist Team within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from large and fast-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. Within this team, the Graph Solutions Architect will focus on designing and implementing graph architectures that leverage Amazon Neptune.
Responsibilities
- Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain-aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
- Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events like AWS Summit and AWS re: Invent.
- Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best-in-class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
- Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
- Foster technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision-makers, to further the adoption of AWS services and technologies.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 7+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience.
- Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, storage, network, security, database administration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units.
- 5+ years of design and implementation experience with Graph Databases such as Neo4J, TigerGraph, including Graph data modeling and Query languages.
- An understanding of computing deployment models as they relate to databases and analytics.
- Working knowledge of modern software development practices such as agile methodologies and DevOps.
Qualifications
- Experience in NoSQL at an expert level.
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
- AWS certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification.
- History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
- Hands-on experience with services related to databases highly desirable, particularly Amazon Aurora, Lambda, Amazon Neptune, Amazon OpenSearch, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2 Container Service, Amazon Kinesis, etc.
