Sr. Vendor Manager - Hardlines

About the role

A Senior Vendor Manager in Amazon Hardlines will own the P&L and relationships with some of the largest vendors in Business Industrial & Scientific Supplies (BISS). You will utilize a wide range of skills across inventory management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, operations, and finance to drive vendor performance and act as the vertical lead for a category within BISS. This role requires accountability for business results, including managing product portfolio performance, developing vendor relationships, negotiating terms, expanding selection, setting prices and inventory forecasts, and driving sales and margin improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets through vendor negotiations.
• Monitor industry and competitor developments to maintain a thorough understanding of business trends and events.
• Maximize Amazon’s business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities.
• Advocate for and drive improvements that enhance the customer shopping experience based on customer needs.
• Build and maintain vendor/brand relationships as the primary point of contact for selection, on-boarding, escalations, and negotiations.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.
• Own forecasting, analyzing, understanding, and reporting on business performance, including strategic context of internal and external variables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
• Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Experience with business analysis and P&L management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.

Pay

Base salary range: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA).
