Sr Underwriting Consultant

This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains within a regulated financial services environment. Remote - US based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.

About the role

You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in all underwriting roles from Underwriter to Senior Underwriting Consultant
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members
• Understand market dynamics influencing underwriting decisions
• Act as a change agent within the underwriting department
• Present effectively to both agent and underwriting groups
• Challenge processes and advocate for improvements professionally
• Utilize Lean techniques for process enhancement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required
• Eight years minimum experience in life or health underwriting
• Proficiency in AWD or similar systems, MS Office, risk assessment, and financial analysis skills
• Strong platform skills are necessary

Pay

$97,000 – $120,000 annually
