Sr. Turf Sales Rep - California (Southern CA) - Field
We are looking for a Senior Turf Sales Representative to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Southern California, supporting California, Hawaii, Utah, and Nevada. This role focuses on delivering sustainable solutions to professional turfgrass managers by balancing economic, environmental, and social value.
About the role
As a Senior Turf Sales Representative, you will meet and exceed sales goals while building long-term customer relationships. You will implement field activities to grow our product portfolio and serve as BASF’s primary representative to customers, market influencers, and industry partners. This position requires residency in Southern California.
Responsibilities
- Grow our market and product portfolio by promoting innovations and executing field activities.
- Develop professional and personal skills to positively impact business strategy and growth.
- Manage a sales territory to achieve yearly sales goals within assigned budgets.
- Build and cultivate strong business relationships with key end users and maintain a working profile of opportunities.
- Support and utilize a distribution network to increase sales throughout your territory.
- Present and administer marketing programs to end users and participate in special sales and marketing projects.
- Provide biology and product training to key end users and the distribution network.
- Communicate effectively across the business, reporting top opportunities through a strategic monthly review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and agronomic industry experience (e.g., Turf, Agricultural Products, Lawn Care & Maintenance, or related disciplines).
- Previous direct sales experience (Golf Course Superintendent experience may substitute for direct sales experience) and formal sales training.
- Strong customer focus and entrepreneurial skills.
- Account/territory management and planning experience.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence.

Pay
The competitive pay range for this role is $110,960 - $152,570. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
