About the role

Our Sr. Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives at the site. This role oversees all aspects of operations or functions, manages and leads a team of Operations and Area Managers, and ensures performance objectives are met through coaching, mentoring, and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.

Responsibilities

  • Drives quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and Lean methodologies to meet and exceed business plan goals.
  • Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of Inbound or Outbound operations.
  • Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers.
  • Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds managers accountable for their departments' performance.
  • Sources and nurtures ideas from Operations and Area Managers, incorporating them into improvement plans for the functional area.
  • Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.
  • Collaborates with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Operations Managers) to secure resources for projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in manufacturing, production, distribution, or logistics.
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple fulfillment centers.
  • Prior leadership development training or participation.
  • Track record of effectively leading an operation with at least 100 salaried and hourly staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop others into higher levels of leadership.

Pay

Base salary range: $135,000.00 – $182,700.00 USD annually (varies by location: Aurora, Broomfield, or Commerce City, CO). Additional compensation includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
