Senior Transportation Engineer – Roadway Design

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead roadway design and plan development for various transportation infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on project quality, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design efforts for transportation infrastructure projects
• Oversee project design, plan production, and quantity calculations
• Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff
• Cookordinate across disciplines to keep projects on schedule and maintain quality
• Support project management activities and contribute to business development efforts

Requirements

• 8+ years of roadway design experience, including strong corridor modeling experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with SCDOT plan production and quantity calculations
• Proficiency with MicroStation / GEOPAK, including corridor modeling
• Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer (ORD) preferred
• Experience with MOT, Drainage, PMP, and Signing is a plus
