Sr. Telecomm Network Administrator
About the role
The organization is expanding its North American operations due to continued growth and the deployment of new hardware, software, and applications. To support this growth, the organization is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join its operations team and support large-scale deployments and production environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 3 technical support within a 24/7/365 operations environment.
- Respond to, troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve incidents in accordance with established service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Serve as a primary escalation point for complex networking and infrastructure issues.
- Proactively monitor network, server, and cloud environments to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
- Assess system performance and recommend improvements and optimizations.
- Design, optimize, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across multiple office locations and cloud environments.
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, virtualized systems, and supporting infrastructure.
- Maintain user accounts, access controls, and software licensing.
- Administer Linux-based systems and enterprise server environments.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and security hardening activities.
- Support infrastructure-as-code initiatives and automation efforts.
- Develop repeatable operational processes and automated workflows.
- Utilize Git-based workflows and automated deployment methodologies.
- Support software testing, deployment, and release management activities.
- Ensure infrastructure adheres to security, compliance, and operational standards.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of Senior-level experience in network administration and/or systems administration.
- Experience in a NOC environment supporting telecommunications, ISP, or other mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience troubleshooting complex issues involving routers, switches, firewalls, and network services.
- Experience with virtualized server environments and enterprise infrastructure management.
- Experience supporting customer-facing environments and managing escalations.
Skills
- Strong experience with routing and switching, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, GRE, VRF, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, spanning tree protocol, BFD, VXLAN, EVPN, IS-IS, VRRP.
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
- Strong experience supporting Linux servers, virtualized environments, monitoring platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with network security, VPN technologies, and infrastructure hardening.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr. Requirements Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
