About the role
The Senior Technical Sales Director acts as the technical backbone of the sales process, serving as the crucial link between sophisticated product functionality and client needs. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role spanning pre-sales, post-sales, and strategic product input.
Responsibilities
- Leading Technical Engagements: Drive the entire technical sales cycle, from structuring discovery sessions and mapping client workflows to running proof-of-concept initiatives and leading pilot governance.
- Demonstrations & Presentations: Deliver highly tailored, value-led demonstrations of our software suite (including Dispatch, Weather, Scope, Validate, and Claims Workspace) to both executive leaders and technical stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales Executives to formulate sales strategies, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless client experiences and handoffs.
- Solution Design & Trusted Advisement: Translate complex customer challenges into conceptual solution architectures and actionable internal requirements, acting as a trusted advisor who champions the voice of the customer to inform future product development.
- Client Training & Support: Provide expert consultation on optimal workflows and deliver user training on solutions when required.
Requirements
- 6+ years of sales, technical sales, or sales engineering experience, preferably with 3+ years of Property Insurance Claims experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the property claims industry (from FNOL to settlement).
- Understanding of basic technical integrations (identity management/SSO, Claims Management Systems, APIs) and knowledge of how to address security and PII handling.
- Critical abilities in technical aptitude, structured discovery, and public speaking/presentation skills.
- Executive presence and the ability to tailor narratives without relying on product jargon.
- Familiarity with consultative sales methodologies, value metrics (cycle time, leakage), and experience creating Pilot ROI parameters.
- Highly agile learner and self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities, business acumen, and a customer-centric mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel 1 to 2 times per month (approximately 6–10 trips/year) for onsite workshops, conferences, and executive readouts.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position in the US is $160K–$170K annual base plus sales commission and annual bonus incentive.
