About the role
The Atlantic District is seeking an Insurance Sales Agent to join our team in Calais, Maine. This role offers a chance to assist clients in finding suitable coverage, build lasting relationships, and make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with new and existing clients and help them find coverage that meets their needs.
- Handle inbound inquiries and follow up on leads with care and consistency.
- Prepare quotes, review coverage options, and explain policy details in a clear and understandable manner.
- Identify opportunities to expand accounts and offer additional protection when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, applications, and policy information.
- Work with carriers and internal partners to ensure a seamless sales and servicing process.
- Meet personal sales goals while maintaining a thoughtful and professional client experience.
- Stay informed about product changes, carrier guidelines, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Active property and casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain one if required by the role.
- Prior insurance sales experience or related client-facing sales experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to explain insurance coverage in clear, simple terms.
- Comfort using CRM systems and standard office software.
- Strong attention to detail when preparing quotes, applications, and policy updates.
- Valid authorization to work in the United States.
- Local availability in or near Calais, Maine.
