Sr. Technical Program Manager – Server Hardware Engineering, AWS Mainstream Compute

Responsibilities
- Lead multiple simultaneous hardware product development programs in a highly cross-functional environment which includes internal customers, external vendors and technology partners.
- Provide leadership in the application of new technologies to large scale server deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world-class customer experience at a world-class cost point.
- Work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas, and work independently in a dynamic, challenging, and fast-changing organization.
- Define and execute processes that deliver both savings and productivity for Amazon.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in project management including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects
Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical program management experience
- Experience in compute and storage server architecture and design for large scale applications
- Experience working cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, firmware and software and driving decision making among stakeholders with competing goals
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Confident leader who can prioritize and analyze trade-offs, communicate clearly and compellingly and effectively influence internally and externally, across organization boundaries. Able to independently influence and resolve conflicts with others
- Experienced in gathering requirements and developing server hardware specifications
- Experience in hardware design
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
Skills
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery
- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
- Experience engaging, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner

Pay
Base salary range for this position is listed below. USA, CA, Cupertino - 171,000.00 - 231,400.00 USD annually
USA, WA, Seattle - 148,700.00 - 201,200.00 USD annually
Schedule
Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
