About the role

The Amazon Prime TPM team is a cross-functional group of Technical Program Managers responsible for running large technology initiatives for Prime Acquisition, Payments, CXE, International Expansion, and supporting variations of Prime that enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Guardian of world-class customer experience for deliverables, continuously raising the bar on functionality, flow, consistency, usability, and simplicity.
  • Interface between product owners and development teams, thoroughly understanding the product, helping define user stories, and driving the evaluation of appropriate technical solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Engage with partners, decompose requirements into technical execution plans with multiple development teams, track progress towards goals, and report status to product, business development, and technical leadership.
  • Make the right feature trade-offs to ship software without compromising customer experience and business relevance.
  • Engage with various teams within the company, evangelize the team and project, build relationships, and identify existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on goals.
  • Represent the technical team to senior leadership across the company.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.

Skills

  • Project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management experience.
