AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities

  • Manage cross-team and cross-organization delivery of long-term customer-facing programs
  • Own end-to-end program lifecycle by writing detailed BRDs, partnering with engineering on technical specifications, and managing deployment
  • Meet with internal and external customers to understand future requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs
  • Plan and coordinate events including facilitation and action item management
  • Lead data-driven decision making through analysis of metrics and operational data, creating KPIs to demonstrate product/program value and effectiveness

About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager for the AWS Data Center Physical Security team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
