Sr. Technical Program Manager - DC Security, Infrastructure Security
About the role
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.
Within Data Center Engineering, the Security Solutions team brings the newest generations of security technologies from concept to production readiness in AWS data centers. This role focuses on the Technical Program Management aspect for advanced cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring successful product deployment from production to launch to make Data Center operations more efficient, safe, and secure.
Responsibilities
- Build strategic plans for new Security Solutions and methods to reach maturity for global deployment, accounting for global and regional nuances.
- Plan, test, validate, create deployment schedules, and perform production readiness actions.
- Lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of Security Systems for next-generation data centers in a highly cross-functional environment, collaborating with internal customers, hardware, and software development teams.
- Provide program management leadership for new technologies and retro-fit work to enable large-scale hardware deployments, ensuring a world-class customer experience.
- Drive teams across multiple organizations to deliver complex cross-functional programs with high impact to the organization.
A day in the life: Our TPMs work closely with key partners to innovate, create, manage, and deliver holistic programs, ensuring products are fully production ready at launch. This includes addressing requirements such as approved financials, technical specifications, supplier sourcing, testing, operations training, and other prerequisites for global deployment.
About the team
The Security Solutions team provides engineering expertise and design support for security products in data centers globally. We own and support security products throughout their lifecycle, including emergent global-scale remediation efforts that impact Data Center capacity or availability. The team drives business improvement initiatives to increase visibility and enable data-driven decision-making. Our work spans hardware and software/system development across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

Pay
- USA, VA, Herndon: $148,700.00 - $201,200.00 USD annually.
- USA, WA, Seattle: $148,700.00 - $201,200.00 USD annually.

This role offers options for hybrid work, allowing employees to work in the office every day or in a flexible hybrid model near one of our US Amazon offices.
