About the role
Lead strategic initiatives for the Optical Inter-Satellite Link (OISL) team within Amazon's Leo organization. Drive the rhythm of business for the OISL team. Ensure 100% delivery against critical satellite milestones—from prototyping through production to on-orbit operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive OP1 planning and execution processes across multiple cross-functional teams
- Manage complex budget tracking
- Research and provide trade analysis for infrastructure investments
- Implement and sustain Amazon's Working Backwards methodology (PR/FAQ, MBR/QBR cadence, written narratives) adapted for hardware development cycles
- Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Qualifications
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
