Sr. Technical Designer, Men's Bottoms

New style set up with specs

• Includes pattern adjustments and pattern creation from scratch

Manage/Maintain all specs and grades

• From initial set up through production
• (proto’s, PPs, Size Sets, TOPs)

Prepares and leads all fittings

• Measures and pre-fits garments
• Organizes weekly fit schedule for assigned products

Communicates fit and construction related comments

• To the vendor and internal teams within development and production timelines
• In a professional manner

Establishes and maintains fit, construction standards and blocks

• To ensure fit consistency and quality

Improves fit and quality

• Through review of customers' comments, sales feedback and understanding of competition
• Including instore retail quality checks post product launches

Partner with manager on fit model analysis/booking go sees

• Maintains model database
• Records costs associated to fit model booking

Understands how to read and correct patterns through 2D software

• 3D software a plus, will be required to obtain V-stitcher certification if not already completed

Knowledge of computer patternmaking

• Example: Gerber, 3D V-Stitcher / Browzewear

Knowledge of PLM

• A plus

Qualifications

• Degree in tech design, patternmaking, or related field and/or equivalent years of experience preferred
• 7+ years’ experience in technical design roles
• Works effectively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams (design, development, merch and production, vendor base)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience communicating with vendors overseas
• Experience working with vendors onsite
• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
• Full understanding of assigned styles and historical issues
• Strong understanding of fabrications and how they react with silhouettes
• Team player and leader, able to work closely with other team members to help manage overall workload with regards to construction, fit, approvals, comments, timelines, etc.
