Sr Tech/Sort Sys-1

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs all package sorting and container handling equipment
• Maintains all electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Four (4) years of experience, including 24 months as a FedEx sort systems technician, or 24 months of maintenance on similar equipment/systems as a commercial/industrial maintenance technician with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and materials handling systems maintenance
• Good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy sort-related components, parts, and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
• Good interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing, and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground level
• Willingness to work odd work weeks, overtime, holidays, and rotating shifts
• Valid driver’s license required
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Pay

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role: $33.00 - $43.41 hourly. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
