Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join the Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Directorate. This role supports radar technology, including radar data analysis and systems integration activities at our Woburn, MA location.
About the role
This position involves supporting systems data analysis and integration tasks while managing competing priorities. Typical activities include scenario development, testing, data analysis, support to software development and systems engineering teams, and customer presentations. The individual will contribute to growing the team’s abilities and work with both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Support integration and test planning/execution, verification/validation events, regression testing, and scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
- Support system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
- Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasking milestones and schedules.
- Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.
- Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure test-setup readiness, and participate in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness reviews).
- Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies.
- Willingness for 10% local and non-local travel, including experience with domestic and foreign military sales products.
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date (DoD Secret clearance).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain interim U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to start date.
- Onsite role located in Woburn, MA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming languages.
- Experience using String/HWIL test equipment, radio frequency (RF) electronic hardware configuration and installation, software installations, and integrating or regression testing radar systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+.
- Experience with Linux Red Hat, Unix, and Shell scripting for integration, verification, test, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of creating integration test procedures, test plans, test scripts, and configuration control documentation.
- Understanding of agile and DevSecOps processes, including participation in daily standups, sprint reviews, PI planning, retrospectives, and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Individual integration skills, knowledge of radar and signal processing concepts, and team interaction skills.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Schedule
This is an onsite role. Employees in onsite roles work primarily at the designated location.
